In this one-day training course, you learn how to use the Snagit to quickly capture screenshots and videos.
The course content mentioned below is based on the latest available version of Snagit, but this training can be given on any version (the course content is then adapted according to the chosen version).
Prerequisites
This course is designed for beginners. No prior knowledge of TechSmith Snagit, image or video editing is required. A working knowledge of your operating system (Mac or Windows) is all it takes to get you started!

- Snagit fundamentals (1h)
This chapter provides a first overview of Snagit and of the three steps involved in producing content with Snagit: the capture phase, the editing phase and the sharing phase. - Using the capture window (1h30)
This chapter covers the options available in the capture window. You'll learn how to make simple captures, panoramic captures, add effects, create presets and more. You will also learn how to automatically integrate your captures into various applications such as Word, Power Point and Camtasia. - Using the Snagit editor (2h30)
This chapter covers the main tools for enhancing your screenshots in Snagit. You'll start by learning the general workings of the Snagit editor, before concentrating on using the main tools available in the application.. - Using the Snagit library (30min)
In this chapter, you'll explore the features offered by the Snagit library, so you can easily find any image or video produced by the application. - Customizing Snagit (30 min)
This chapter covers the features you can use to customize your Snagit installation for greater ease of use and productivity. In particular, you'll learn how to create personalized themes, choose your favorite tools and customize the software interface. - Creating video with Snagit (1h)
This chapter covers the tools available for creating videos with Snagit. You'll learn in detail how to use the video capture engine and review the video editing tools available in Snagit. You'll also see how to create a video from your screenshots and how to export your videos in various formats. Finally, you'll learn how to create animated Gifs with Snagit. - Using Snagit templates (1h)
This chapter covers the creation of visuals using the templates available in Snagit. You'll learn how to combine multiple screenshots into high-quality documents that you can easily share with your audience.
Practical
- This course is aimed at organisations and will be delivered on your premises. We do not run calendar courses on TechSmith Snagit.
- This course can be delivered both face-to-face and online. In the case of online training, the course can be split into several smaller chunks and delivered over a number of days, which do not need to be contiguous. We will plan the course according to your needs and availability.
